Mysore is located in the South Indian state of Karnataka and which is the second biggest city in the state. Mysore is steeped in royal history – it was one of the three largest Princely States in the erstwhile British Empire of India. To this day, the Mysore Palace, the world heritage listed one, stands tall as one of the most spectacular palaces all over the country. A very famous tourist spot that sees thousands of visitors milling in and around it every day . Mysore has several tourist attractions including palaces, museums, temples, gardens, etc. Mysore Palace, Chamundi Hill Temple, Mysore Zoo , Brindavan dam and garden ,Srirangapatna are the most famous places to visit in Mysore.
Himavad Gopalaswamy Betta, is a hill at a height of 1450m , locatedin Chamarajanagar district of the state of Karnataka, South India . It is also the highest peak in the Bandipur National Park. It lies in the core area of the Bandipur National Park and is frequented by wild life including elephants. Dense fog predominates and covers the hills round the year. The hill is famous for Gopalaswamy temple which is dedicated to Lord Krishna gives the full name of Himavad Gopalaswamy Betta, the temple is considered very religious and spiritual. These regions were a favorite hunting ground for the Mysore Maharajahs and their British guests. The royals have built a guest house on top of the hills and there are some rare pictures of the Maharajahs and their guests with their prized huntthe tiger.
